The Origins and History of Labradoodles.
Labradoodles were first breed by Australian Wally Conron in 1989.
Wally was working as a breeder for the Royal Guide Dogs Association when he received a request to produce a guild dog for a blind woman in Hawaii. The request was different in that the woman's husband was prominently allergic to long haired canines and thus needed a more allergy enduring breed for the job.
The first Australian Labradoodles were breed from one of Wally's Dams (Brandy) and as it happens his bosses Standard Poodle (Harley).
Brandy gave birth to three pups; Simon, Sheik and Sultan. For which only Sultan passed for the hypoallergenic qualities Wally required for the request.
As people took more interest in the breed over the years multiple infusions where added to lines to optimize the breed standard and quality.
Such parent breeds can include:- Labrador, Poodle, Spaniel
